Artist Talk with Marian Delyth

Join us for a talk from Marian Delyth sharing multiple projects over the last 50 years. Please note this event will be held in Welsh, with simultaneous translation into English provided by Ruthin Town Council.

Darnau | Fragments is a major solo survey exhibition of the work of Marian Delyth at Ffotogallery, Cardiff, celebrating the launch of the 2024 Ffoto Cymru festival. This exhibition, and the sibling exhibition, Darnau Bach | Little Fragments at Yr Hen Lys - The Old Courthouse in Ruthin, highlight Delyth’s photographic journey over the past 50 years, documenting the life and culture of Wales with unparalleled dedication.

Working as a photographer and graphic designer from her studio in Blaenplwyf, near Aberystwyth, Delyth has tirelessly celebrated communities across Wales by documenting causes for social and climate justice that impact society both locally and globally. Her work, rooted in the documentary tradition, communicates powerful narratives of the people and places that advocate for justice for language, land and liberation.
