Darnau Bach  | Little Fragments is a solo exhibition of the work of Marian Delyth, celebrating the launch of the 2024 Ffoto Cymru festival. This exhibition is the sibling to the major survey exhibition, Darnau | Fragments at Ffotogallery in Cardiff, highlight Delyth’s photographic journey over the past 50 years, documenting the life and culture of Wales with unparalleled dedication.

Working as a photographer and graphic designer from her studio in Blaenplwyf, near Aberystwyth, Delyth has tirelessly celebrated communities across Wales by documenting causes for social and climate justice that impact society both locally and globally. Her work, rooted in the documentary tradition, communicates powerful narratives of the people and places that advocate for justice for language, land and liberation.

Darnau Bach | Little Fragments showcases Delyth’s radical and consistent curiosity: from the Maes of the Eisteddfod to Eswatini, the sheer power of the landscape from Bardsey Island and from Birmingham in 1977 to work-in-progress from Brittany in 2024, all throughout approaching each subject with respect and care. This exhibition seeks to solidify her position as one of Wales' most influential artists and celebrates her significant contributions to the artistic and visual identity of Wales.
