Throughout October, we are proud to host free weekly Feminist Library events in our library. We have talks and workshops lined up - led by brilliant artists and academics, all putting the female experience at the forefront of our discussions.

Tuesday 8 October, 11am - 1pm - Foto Féminas artists talk and workshop

In this session, we will be joined by three members of the Foto Féminas network Julieta Anaut, Luiza Possamai Kons and Lorena Marchetti, whose work is also on display as part of Ffoto Cymru at Elysium Gallery in Swansea.

Julieta Anaut - Self-referential rituals: (30 min)

Session Details: A talk on production methods through digitally manipulated photography, photomontage, and video, exploring themes such as the body, women, ritual scenes, and the connection with both natural and constructed environments. These projects include staging, body work, the blending of languages, among other tools approached through digital techniques, where familiar landscapes, close people, and personal experiences serve as the main sources of creativity.

Additionally, Anaut will give a presentation on the publication "My own, the adoration, the wandering."

Further details to follow.
