As part of the Ffoto Cymru International Festival of Photography, Ffotogallery, in partnership with Elysium, presents the work of Foto Féminas artists Julieta Anaut, Luiza Kons, and Lorena Marchetti. The imagined land of belonging showcases a diverse collection of photographic works, unified by a shared curiosity of our connections to landscapes, family, heritage, and ritual.
The Foto Féminas network is dedicated to amplifying the visibility of female and non-binary photographers from Latin America and the Caribbean.

Julieta Anaut (b. 1983) is an Argentinian, award-winning visual artist from Rio Negro, Patagonia. She is a graduate from Instituto Universitario Patagónico de las Artes (LUPA) and a Specialist in Combined Artistic Languages at Universidad Nacional de las Artes (UNA). Her visual and audio-visual works have been exhibited in museums, cultural venues, and film festivals across the globe.
Luiza Possamai Kons (b. 1993) is a photographic artist from Assis Chateaubriand in the western region of Paraná, Brazil. She graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Journalism from Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina (2017) , and a Master’s Degree in Arts from Universidade Estadual do Paraná (2021), and currently a PhD student in History from the Federal University of Paraná. She uses photography as a political tool that reflects human relationships and its connections.
Lorena Marchetti is an Argentine visual artist, photographer, and university professor. Her work focuses on urban environments and the emotional architecture within them, exploring human connections to space and place through street photography and other visual media. She has exhibited both locally and internationally, and her projects often engage with cultural and territorial narratives. Lorena is passionate about fostering dialogue through her art and creating spaces for reflection on the complexities of urban life.
