Join us for Sunprinting : Traces of Heritage, a hands-on cyanotype workshop inspired by the themes of identity, heritage, and home. Taking place alongside the powerful exhibition Belongers, this creative session offers an opportunity to explore personal and cultural connections through the unique art of sunprinting.
For this workshop, we invite you to bring along your favorite small objects or dry ingredients that hold special meaning for you. These items should fit onto an A5 or A4 sheet of paper. Together, we’ll use light-sensitive cyanotype techniques to create striking visual stories that reflect your memories, heritage, and sense of belonging.
Belongers, the first UK solo show by Mauritian-Chagossian artist Audrey Albert and her collaborators, celebrates the Chagossian community and their resilience in the face of displacement. This workshop builds on those themes, encouraging participants to reflect on their own narratives while engaging in a therapeutic and meditative artistic process.
Whether you’re an experienced artist or simply curious, this workshop is an inspiring way to connect with your creativity and explore meaningful stories through art.
