We warmly invite you to join us from 6pm on Thursday 23 November for the opening of Ffocws 2023. Be the first to see the work produced by the brilliantly talented photographers who have been selected to show their work in the exhibition.

Announced last month, the contributing artists include Alice Forde, Emma Spreadborough, Jean Chan, Mareah Ali, Katie Nia, Megan Morgan, Robin Chaddah-Duke, Shannon Maggie, Shaun Lowde and Viv Collis.

We are delighted to be working in partnership with Cardiff MADE and the Higgins Photography Initiative to include a further four more artists; Jack Moyse, Kaylee Francies, Ffion Denman and Tracy Patricia Harris.

Alongside the exhibition will be a programme of online artist talks - the details of which will be announced soon, so watch this space.

The exhibition continues until 12 January 2024, open Wednesday - Saturday, 12 - 5 pm. Please note: the gallery will be closed for the seasonal period from 17 December, and reopens on Wednesday 3 January 2024.

Bronze Arts Award with Oasis

We are delighted to share the achievements of a group of young refugees and asylum seekers from Oasis that we recently worked with to deliver the Bronze Level Arts Award Qualification. Over ten weeks during the summer, the group worked on a series of practical photography workshops, experienced the arts through visits to arts organisations, researched artists of their choice and presented Skillshare sessions on a chosen subject. They worked incredibly hard to complete their portfolios and all five young people who entered achieved their Bronze Arts Award Qualification and we are immensely proud of their success!
